Imagining a Better World
PEOPLE · STORIES · CHANGE
We highlight people and everyday leaders who are moved to act on the problems facing their communities.
We hope our films encourage people to create local changes that resonate beyond the expected.

I tell stories where the lens meets the world — fusing filmmaking and critical research to illuminate the struggle for justice and the possibility of change.
Born in India, raised in London, and based in California since 1991, my journey has been shaped by crossings — of cultures, disciplines, and borders. I began making documentaries in the 2000s, drawn by a desire to see and to show what often remains unseen.
Through anti-racism, feminism, and movements for economic equality, my work seeks not just to document, but to imagine — and help build — a more just and livable planet.
Big changes can happen on a small scale.
We craft documentaries that show how.
Around the world, people work to protect the planet.
We reflect and amplify their voices.
We share stories about the necessary work of social justice.
Everyone should have a joyful and creative life.
